Participation Process
Welcome or welcome back to JDSTA Region 11 Science Fair! As a teacher, you are one of the heroes of Science Fairs, and a most honored hero at JDSTA. You are a critical player in this creative piece of science education.
The process for participation is
- State: Illinois Junior Academy of Science website is www.ijas.org. Under "Documents and Forms" you can find:
- The Illinois Junior Academy of Science Policy and Procedure Manual
- The Illinois Junior Academy of Science current mailing
- Registration form and fee schedule
- Information letter
- Essay information
- Region 11: All the information and materials you need can be found on this web site:
- Registration Form (to participate in science fair you must pay a $100 fee to JDSTA as well as the state fee listed on their form)
- State Agreement Form (students must commit to going to state if they qualify at the regional fair)
- Guides for the two sessions of the fair -- project and paper/essay
- Student Manual
- To assist you, several members of the executive board are willing to serve as mentors to answer questions and concerns. Contact information can be found on About Us.
- If you are a new administrator or a new sponsor, it would be beneficial to familiarize yourself with the material.
